BITOSSI CERAMICHE
MADE IN ITALY
The Bitossi family has been rooted in Montelupo Fiorentino since 1536, deeply entwined with the area's rich ceramic tradition. Founded by Guido Bitossi in 1921, the Guido Bitossi Artistic Maioliche factory continued this legacy, blending classical styles with refined craftsmanship. The modern evolution began in the 1950s under Aldo Londi, who brought a creative revolution that shaped the company’s direction for over fifty years.
In 1955, architect Ettore Sottsass joined Bitossi, launching a new era in Italian design. Today, Bitossi Ceramiche remains in its historic 1929 headquarters, led by Ginevra Bocini, the fourth generation of the Bitossi family. The company excels in blending tradition with innovation, inspired by techniques from the Bitossi Museum Archive.
Recognised in the Register of Historic Italian Companies in 2014, Bitossi collaborates with global architects and designers like Dimorestudio, Fabio Novembre, Faye Toogood, Zaven, and Patricia Urquiola, continuing to represent Italian excellence in ceramics.
